Day #20 Journal Prompt

Details: Draw and paint one colorful zebra!

Message: Zebras can breed with other members of the horse family. Zorses are the offspring of horse stallions and zebra mares. Zedonks are the products of zebra stallions and donkey mares. Zonies come from zebras and ponies. Wowzza, so I guess Zebra’s aren’t so black and white! Ha.

We’re already 20-days into the Online Animal Art Journal Challenge which means 10-prompts left to go! Then all submissions are due by February 15th. Take a minute to reflect and refocus, gathering all that you’ve learned thus far. What do you need change or continue doing to finish strong? What sacrifices do you have to make to accomplish your creative and mental goals for 2021? Furthermore, how can you keep this routine going post challenge to help you better manage your stress?

Guess what, I’ve created a post on Facebook HERE where you can share your reflections and hopefully support and inspire one another! ☀️☀️☀️

Paint Colors: Black, White, Orange, Cadmium Yellow, Magenta, Phthalocyanine Blue, Violet.

Other Supplies: Graphite pencil, eraser, small flat brush, medium flat brush, round detail brush or liner brush, cup for water, paint palette, cloth. All materials and brands are listed HERE.

Instructions: After you complete this creative prompt, use the left side to write down the questions shown below this tutorial. I encourage you to write inside your art journal using your favorite pens, pencils, or markers. Once you’ve completed both sections, post/send just your drawing/painting for a chance to win. NOTE: If you’re left handed, switch the side you plan to paint and write on.

Daily Prayer: Dear Father, we invite you in to be apart of our creative routine. Help us to not only finish strong in this challenge, but to make this meditative practice of art and prayer a daily habit. One that keeps us grounded, refreshed, focused, and vibrant. Help us to change what isn’t working and continue doing what is. We praise you Father, Amen.
