Each month students gain access to one additional video lesson on how to construct a finished masterpiece from small ideas and concepts.

Students learn how to apply Lauren’s 5-phase creativity system combined with the tools and breakable rules of art for building a unique, well balanced composition.

Are you an oil painter, acrylic artist, or a colored pencil expert? That’s just fine! Lessons can be applied to other visual art mediums - pastels, colored pencils, copic markers, oil paint, gauche, and watercolor.

I’m SO happy with my work since I’ve been watching your videos. You’ve helped me so much in finding my style. I applied what you taught to a highland cow painting for my niece.

Students learn fun and simple ways of using a sketchbook as a means of self-expression, idea development, and artistic communication. Use any supplies you have, even just a pen will do!

Discover your own way of creating that merges technique (exm. use a flat brush to apply a glaze) with the creative process (exm. testing out floral designs to express joy and peace). Learn how to use value, shape, form, color, texture, and lines to express your own creative vision.

Stumped on what to add to backgrounds? Not sure how to make your pet portraits more creative? Gain inspiration, technique tips, and creative guidance for adding more interest to your custom pet portraits.

Every month students can submit photos of their work to receive gentle, helpful feedback from Lauren herself. With the monthly challenges and (optional) critiques, you’ll be well on your way to emerging a unique, distinct artist style.

  • You can use any drawing and/or coloring tools you have available to you. Click Here to view the exact supplies I use. I recommend some kind of mixed media sketchbook. I love the Strathmore and Canon brand mixed media sketchbooks.

  • Yes, all past video lessons will remain up in the Original Art Blueprint course.

  • No, unless that's the medium you want to focus on building original artwork with. You need to know at least the basic fundamental techniques of your medium for this course to really benefit you. All visual fine art mediums are welcome here!
