Day #2 Journal Prompt
Details: Draw and paint a whimsical Llama. Does NOT have to be a boho painting.
Message: Llamas know their own limits. If you try to overload a llama with too much weight on it’s back, the llama is likely to lie down or simply refuse to move. As you take on each new painting in this challenge let yourself gradually adjust to the change. Let go of the heavy load of perfection and high expectations and simply create for fun. Each day should definitely be a challenge, but not so much so that you’re weighed down by fear and overwhelm. Take it slow, enjoy the process, and allow your greatness to come out naturally!
Paint Colors: Cadmium Yellow, Phthalocyanine Blue, Cadmium Red, Raw Sienna, White, Black, Yellow Ochre.
Other Supplies: Graphite pencil, water, cloth, paint palette, painters tape, small flat brush, medium flat brush, liner or rigger brush. All materials and brands are listed HERE.
Instructions: After you complete this creative prompt, use the left side to write down the questions shown below this tutorial. I encourage you to write inside your art journal using your favorite pens, pencils, or markers. Once you’ve completed both sections, post/send just your drawing/painting for a chance to win. NOTE: If you’re left handed, switch the side you plan to paint and write on.
Daily Prayer: Father, sometimes it feels like these storms are impossible to get through, especially in 2020. It’s hard to be grateful for such storms because they feel like punishment or curses. Father, I give you what I cannot do or what feels impossible, and I trust you with the end results of all this. I surrender to your great awesome plan for my good! Thank you Father, Amen.
