Day #29 Journal Prompt
Details: Draw a sea turtle! Use each section of the turtle shell to draw in your favorite things. Use symbols, words, and shapes to express this.
Message: Did you know that only one in every thousand sea turtle hatchlings will make it to adulthood. Every time you see an adult sea turtle make sure you tell him or her, “YOU ARE TURTLE-Y-AMAZING!!!”
These little guys have numerous threats existing on both land AND sea - fire ants, racoons, birds, harmful fisheries, sharks, dolphins, pollution, even crabs!
The one and only chance for survival baby sea turtles have is to just keep moving forward! Like Dory always says, “Just keep swimming…just keep swimming!”
And the only way you and I will survive this crazy covid thing ourselves is to just keep moving forward. We cannot afford to look back, hold onto the past, and remain stagnant or bitter. If we really want to succeed like CHAMPION sea turtles, we must focus on what we do have control over - moving on!
Other Supplies: Graphite pencil OR micron 05 pen. Feel free to paint or color your turtle if you feel inspired!
Instructions: After you complete this creative prompt, use the left side to write down the questions shown below this tutorial. I encourage you to write inside your art journal using your favorite pens, pencils, or markers. Once you’ve completed both sections, post/send just your drawing/painting for a chance to win. NOTE: If you’re left handed, switch the side you plan to paint and write on.
Daily Prayer: Dear Father, we need your help to look and move forward today! It’s so easy to get caught up in worry and fear of the unknown with everything going on around us. We kind of feel like little vulnerable baby sea turtles sometimes, with so many threats against us and our families. Father we ask for your courage, your protection, and your mighty strength against the enemy! Surround the ones we love with your angels. Help us to just keep swimming, looking forward, and doing our best, even if things get worse! We praise you Father for your protection and ongoing goodness, Amen.
