#013 | 365-Creative Quiet Time: Masterclass Artwork

Feeling a little discouraged about my Masterclass painting tutorial progress. It was the first time in months I had help with both children and so of course I jumped into my art studio. The only problem is, I’m not very happy with the turnout.

Thankfully I see some areas that I can adjust and improve, but it’s not looking as spectacular as I had planned. Still, it could be the sleep deprivation! Maybe tomorrow my eyes will see differently.

On the plus side I did get a chance to work on this months collectors piece, the Beagle puppy. I truly love how this one is coming along. I’m just piecing it together and it’s been such a blast. Lots more layers to go yet in colored pencil and acrylic paint markers.

Today’s verse comes from Psalms again. A verse that really helps me wait patiently on the Lord through my frustrations. Good always comes out of them!

Be still and know I am God.
— Psalms 46:10

Daily Creative Quiet Time

Here I go! All through 2022 I’ll be sharing my daily creative quiet time routine for stress management. I’ll shoot for 10-minutes a day (at least) creating anything I please using one or more of the materials listed down below. Some days I’ll be progressing through a pet portrait commission, or an Online Animal Art Masterclass tutorial, or a Youtube tutorial, or a random idea I need to get down on paper.

The other huge and vital part of my creative process involves me spending time in the presence of God and meditating on His word. Most day’s I’ll be pulling straight from the YouVersion bible app, or from one of Rick Warren’s bible teachings, or another daily devotional.

My greatest desire, dear brother or sister, is that I can bring bright color to your eyes during such dark days AND inspire you to develop your own creative quiet time routine. Even for just 10-minutes a day!
