Daily Creative Quiet Time
Here I go, starting NOW I’ll be showing you my daily creative quiet time routine for stress management! I’ll be documenting everything here on my art blog each and EVERY day, likely first thing in the morning at 5:00am.
I’m going to make this as simple and fun and easy and authentic as possible. I’ll shoot for 10-minutes a day (at least) creating anything I please using one or multiple mediums such as acrylic paint, graphite pencil, colored pencils, and copic markers.
Some days I’ll be progressing through a pet portrait commission, or a Online Animal Art Masterclass tutorial, or a Youtube tutorial, or something I need to get down on paper like this mama giraffe painting.
The other huge and vital part of my process includes meditating on a single scripture verse. Most day’s I’ll be pulling straight from the You Version bible app or from one of Rick Warren’s bible teachings, or a scripture I found and want to delve into more.
#001 Mama Giraffe
Today I was inspired to draw and get started painting a colorful mama giraffe and her baby. Did you know a group of giraffes is called a Tower?
I’m painting Potoka and Jasir from the Brookfield zoo. The very same zoo my husband just got me a YEAR membership to for Christmas. You betch you bottom I’ll be painting more Brookfield animals!!
I’m using Arteza brushes, 7x10 Canon heavy mixed media paper, Golden brand white paint (only white paint), colored painters tape, glass paint palette, and Master’s touch medium and heavy body paint.
