a Closer Look

When you stand 4 ft away from a beautiful painting, I can bet that you're probably not counting every brush stroke. It's practically invisible from far away, right? But when you move closer, much closer, you can see how many hundreds upon hundreds of brush strokes it took to make that one beautiful masterpiece.

So often we look at the exterior of a person without getting close enough to see their small, defined brush strokes. Thousands upon thousands of brush strokes from multiple family deaths, a lost job, divorce, sexual abuse, a chronic illness, and so on so for. All of which have developed there character in some way.

We judge their behavior and appearance without learning the pain and suffering they wen through. And while I'm not justifying unjust behavior, I am saying to get closer before judging.
