A kind word can build trust, deepen connections, and foster love, but hurtful words can create tension, resentment, and distance.

Positive speech like gratitude or affirmations can trigger the release of happy hormones (serotonin or dopamine) leading to less inflammation, less fatigue, lowered blood pressure, positive mood - it’s a domino effect!

Prolonged negative words that convey criticism, bitterness, or harshness can lead to headaches, digestive problems, sleeping issues, high blood pressure, and a long list of other health issues.

Furthermore, if you want to change your circumstances, change your words! Start speaking in the direction you want your life to go (Joel Osteen). Speak life over your marriage if your marriage is struggling. Speak life over your child if your child is deep in addiction. Speak hope over your future even if you just lost your dream job!

Words may be invisible, but they sure do have visible, powerful consequences!
