Day #15 Journal Prompt

Details: Draw and paint a ROYAL hamster! 😂

Message: Do you remember the “Hamster Dance?” I’d get that catchy song stuck in my head all the time in highschool. It always brought a smile to my face thinking of silly, adorable hamsters.

What do you want to be known for? What legacy do you want to leave? Growing up in a family of predominantly male doctors and engineers, I felt extremely compelled to work hard for something greater than myself. Although it took me a very long time to accept my creative differences, I eventually embraced my role as a professional artist.

I felt small, I felt inexperienced, I felt terrified, but I knew more than anything I wanted to encourage, lift up, and support hurting creatives. Yes I wanted to create art, but most of all, I deeply longed to bring hope and color to hopeless artists. Although I’m no renowned picasso, I’m so thankful I can serve artists in my OWN way in my OWN small corner of the world.

Charles Chesnutt reminds us, “We sometimes underestimate the impact of little things.” Even if you “feel” like you have no impact or a very small one, you can still make an enormous difference in this world being EXACTLY who you are!

Paint Colors: Crimson Red, Phthalocyanine Blue, Cadmium Yellow, White, Black, Raw Sienna, Yellow Ochre. Any other colors you want!

Other Supplies: Cup of water, paper towel or cloth, paint palette, mixed media journal, transfer paper for traceable, pen. All materials and brands are listed HERE.
