Day #5 Journal Prompt
Details: Paint your own moths using any color and/or creative style.
Message: There are more than 11,000 moth species in the United States alone, that's more than all the bird and mammal species in North America combined. Moths can range in size from smaller than a pencil tip to bigger than a songbird. Our creator could have stopped at 5,000 different species and that would have been enough, but instead he kept going. He kept using his creativity because he wanted diversity, color, and beauty. You have this same amazing LIMITLESS creativity bottled up inside of you. You have the amazing power to imagine something in your mind and make it tangible on paper or canvas. Tap into your creativity today by simply believing you CAN, that it IS there inside of you, just waiting to be used.
Paint Colors: Use any color. I used white, black, yellow ochre, phthalocyanine blue, violet, raw sienna, aqua green, lime green, cadmium yellow, crimson red.
Other Supplies: Small flat brush, liner brush or rigger brush. All materials and brands are listed HERE.
Instructions: After you complete this creative prompt, use the left side to write down the questions shown below this tutorial. I encourage you to write inside your art journal using your favorite pens, pencils, or markers. Once you’ve completed both sections, post/send just your drawing/painting for a chance to win. NOTE: If you’re left handed, switch the side you plan to paint and write on.
Daily Prayer: Father thank you for making nature, animals, and our world so extraordinarily beautiful and unique. Your creativity inspires me to create GREAT things, beautiful things, and things with a purpose. I am so thankful to be able to create with my two hands, and to have the same limitless creativity that you gifted me with. Father help me to use your gifts for good, to serve, and to help those in need. I praise you for what you’re doing in me and through me with this art! Thank you Lord, amen!
